IRLA Congress 2024 launched to a packed and enthusiastic gathering of delegates this week.
The three day event, which is taking place at The Brighton Grand Hotel, has seen members travel from all over the UK, as well as some flying in from much further afield to be part of the annual occasion.
Day One saw a superbly well appreciated mix of networking, social activities and learning opportunities.
Particularly popular was the Vintage Bus and Cheese Tasting trip (book early to avoid disappointment for 2025!).
The latter part of Day One also saw excellent workshops for our cohort of future leaders, as well as a motivating presentation from Peter Stone (formerly Davies Group) and Abi Chamberlain.
This session was quickly followed by the long-awaited Insider Roundtable, where helpful and positive discussion was had among a selected panel of experts in the field (look out for the summary on Insider's platforms and ours in the weeks ahead).
Tuesday saw opening words from our Chairman Kevin Gill, followed by an informative panel discussion on the insurance regulatory landscape, with Hannie Syeda chairing, and participants including Jonathan Drake, Peter Thomas, Nick Parish, Iain Pearson and Alex Marcuson.
Richard Burrows and Jenny Fair then led a really celebratory session to mark recent accomplishments of members, including Nicole Law CA and Joe Pearce.
A pre-lunch panel session entitled 'It's a Jungle Out There', also proved popular, and was led by Romy Comiter.
We'll continue to bring you updates on this year's Congress, and very much encourage you to share images, insights and reflections to our Communications team.
